How to make a Smalltown Boy AI video
Start with two separate photos and assign each subject a role. A takes the first camera reaction and B starts dancing behind them. Prepare the setup here; generation and purchases are not open yet.
Try the photo setupWhat the Smalltown Boy workflow needs
Choose two different JPG, PNG or WebP files, no larger than 10 MB each. The shorter image side must be at least 300 pixels. The setup rejects images over 25 megapixels and files it cannot decode. A file extension alone does not establish that an image is readable.
Use one subject per image. An unobstructed face and visible shoulders or body give you a useful reference to inspect. Selecting a photo creates a local thumbnail; it does not send the photo to the provider.
Follow the button, one step at a time
The primary button changes to the next useful action. It opens slot A when no first photo exists, then slot B. An unreadable image must be replaced before the workflow moves forward.
- Add photo A and wait for the local check.
- Add photo B. Inspect the two thumbnails and use Swap if the roles are reversed.
- Choose your duo and confirm permission to process both subjects.
- When generation is enabled, sign in, verify email and check the displayed credit quote.
- Submit once and keep the page open until the server returns a task ID.
Know what has actually been created
A selected thumbnail is a file preview. A finished photo setup is still a draft. Only a server response with a task ID establishes that a request has been accepted by this application.
The current inherited integration requests a short 11-second, 768p take. It is not a verified recreation of a longer full trend video. Each pairing and its final output needs its own acceptance check before public generation opens.
Track the accepted request
My videos reads the existing task. Queued, running, download preparation and confirmed failure are different states. Leaving the page after acceptance does not create another request.
If the connection drops during submission, keep the same request and check My videos. The studio preserves its idempotency key for a retry with unchanged inputs. Changing photos or creative direction is a different take.
Review before sharing
Watch the whole result, especially the role switch. Check identity, clothing, paws or limbs, and the last frame. A good opening frame does not establish consistency through the clip.
Download only after completion. The original song is not included or licensed. Keep any music you add separate and use audio you have permission to publish.
Your questions, answered
Can I prepare photos without an account?
Yes. The initial photo setup happens in your browser. An enabled generation request requires a verified account.
Can I leave while it generates?
After the server returns a task ID, return to My videos to check the existing request.
Does clicking the photo button cost credits?
No. Selecting and checking photos locally does not create a generation request.
